After Jesus consecrated in prayer, he wanted to go back to the boat, so He walked on water where His disciples mistaken Him as a ghost, then Peter asked Him to let him walk on water too and Jesus did what Peter asked but the waves and winds are bigger than Peter’s faith so he begun to sink and asked Jesus for help. (Matthew 14:22-33) Most of the times we are like Peter and other disciples. We wanted to witness miraculous deeds from the Lord but we doubt His power when He does. Peter did not sink because He has little faith alone, but because he didn’t soak himself to the presence of God. We can pray and ask God to manifest magnificent deeds through us but if we will not prepare ourselves in prayer and continuous seeking of God’s Word, we will be overwhelmed by fear, doubt, and lack of faith. Today, as we walk with Jesus on waves of our trials and pass the winds of challenges, let us engrave in our hearts and weave in our minds that our God can walk on water and He is more than what our minds can imagine. He is not a ghost who will leave you after putting fear. He is our God that will lead you to put away fear and live in the fullness of His grace through faith.
